Sibling Love

Anyone who has met Avery knows that he is such a loving child. He is very sociable and loves to be around other kids, younger and older. Everyone keeps asking how Avery does "with the baby". The answer (so far) is, great! He loves to come up to Kayla and kiss her, or alternately, pet her and say "Nice" in a falsetto voice (not unlike how we demonstrate the proper way to pet the dog, haha). I just know that Avery is going to watch out for his younger sister, similar to how my brother watched out for me. Here are some other examples of Avery's brotherly love.

This picture was taken through the top of our double stroller. Kayla was starting to fuss (can you blame her?? It's hot as hades down here!) and Avery was reaching over to comfort her. "Don't cwy, Taco, don't cwy".
Avery loves to give Kayla kisses. "Tiss tiss, Taco".
Kayla can often be seen smiling big at her older brother, even when he is not paying attention to her. In fact, her first baby belly laugh (you know the one; you have probably seen millions of You Tube videos of babies laughing like this) was at Avery the other week. It was too stinkin' cute! Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera close by to record it. :(
I love this picture. I'm not sure what is funnier....how focused the two kids are on Phil's I-phone, or how they are holding hands. Too cute!
