Pirate's Voyage

On the last day we were in Myrtle Beach, we took the kids to a dinner show called Pirate's Voyage.  I was initially skeptical, thinking it would be super cheesy and not worth the money the tickets cost.  However, after five minutes in, I was completely hooked.  I would highly recommend this show to everybody.  From the song-filled and action-packed preshow, to the super cheap gift shop, to the decent four course dinner feast, to the actual performance filled with amazing acrobatics, animals, fighting pirates, and singing, I give this show 8 thumbs up (two for each of my family members).  It. Was. Awesome.  I couldn't take any videos or movies during the actual performance, so most of my pics are before- and after-shots.  Check out the link on youtube for a better idea of how incredibly awesome this show is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E2BjpRhAuY.

At the entrance to the theater.
Kayla is not too sure of what to think of a woman who looks tougher than her.
Inside the sitting area for the pre-show.
Thank goodness the business of prosthetics has evolved since hooked hands were around...Avery learned how hard it is to eat popcorn without fingers.
More artificial red dye #40 and sugar??? Ummm, yes please.
And these kids thought that getting a juice box was a treat....
One of the several guitarists....
...and one of the jugglers (who is actually in the main performance...except juggling fire!).

Kayla continues to be unsure about pirates...why are they so loud??
The sugar must be kicking in.....nah, it's the music!
I snuck a few pics inside the dinner theater before the performance started.

After the performance, Kayla jumped on the pirate bandwagon.  Avery is teaching her about their weaponry.
Congratulations, Kayla; you now need stitches....
 ...and a few new fingers.
Every good pirate carries his sword on his back.
