The Price of Guilt

This past week, Phil and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary by enjoying a 4-day trip to Naples, Florida. Avery, Grandma, and those pesky dogs stayed behind to partake in South Carolina fun. Our trip was great, but like most vacations, the cost added up pretty quickly. We budgeted in the price of gas, hotel, food, souveniers, etc, but we were not prepared for the extra expense of GUILT that incurs when you leave your little boy behind for several days. Before we left, Phil set up this double-slide playhouse for Avery while he was napping one afternoon. It has been a huge hit and it keeps Avery from climbing on the chairs and unstable toys, so I guess it has served it's purpose. I hope that by our 15th wedding anniversary, the guilt dissipates a little bit or else someone is going to end up with that Lexus before I do!
