Summer Days

Uhh, Avery...you have a little pudding on your face. Apparently, do not leave your child unattended with chocolate pudding and a spoon. Other sidenote: Avery is wearing the pudding because he knows there is medicine in there and is refusing to actually eat the pudding.
Now that Avery can get on and off of the couch with ease, he likes to sit up here to play with his toys or read a book. Sometimes I think it is to get away from 2 annoying dogs who know nothing about personal space. Avery commandeering Mommy's chair at the beach.

The pink babydoll stroller is a treasured toy at the gym daycare. This is a no-brainer, as Avery will push and pull anything that is not bolted down. However, I am at a loss for words in regards to the purse (man-bag).

Too Hot to Think

Maybe it's laziness...or maybe it's the near-100 degree heat with the high, high, HIGH humidity...I just can't think of any clever themes this month. But please enjoy some random pics of Avery.

InZain in the Membrane

Avery's Brooklyn buddy, Zain, came to visit last week. While they are a year apart, the rough housing has started already, as Avery liked to run up to a snoozing Zain in his stroller on the beach and grab his feet. I can't wait to see what kind of trouble these two can get into when they get a little older.

The community pool in our neighborhood is finally open!! Avery was apparently thirsty when this video was taken...

Avery loves cell phones, both toy and real. Watch Avery's Happy Dance when he finds a pink toy cell phone at the playground.

The dancing continues. Might I add that Avery and Phil will not be able to dance like this together for much longer....ouch!

Spoon Me

We are working on Avery using a spoon independently. While he has been able to bring the spoon to his mouth for months now, he hasn't quite grasped the whole scooping food onto the spoon concept. While he is definitely improving in this area....

...he still has a long way to go. :)

Young Rivalry

This is a short video of Avery sitting in his buddy Luke's chair while watching a movie. In the video, it seems clear that Avery has made the point that he is not moving from the chair, even when politely asked by Luke. A couple of minutes after this video was taken, Luke returned from behind to tip the chair over and regain ownership of his chair. Lesson learned: sweet Luke may be cute and cuddly, but don't take his stuff!!
